Our Philospohy
Fognet's consulting employs a set of consulting methodologies that draw on the best of the best. The approach is IT Service Delivery-focused and centers around:
People and how they are connected with their customers, with the emphasis on moving from traditional roles and responsibiliteis to stake-based relationships.
Processes that are "IT aligned." The IT department's mission is the whole company's mission.
Technologies that serve first to integrate the above approaches into unifying architectures, not the other way around.
Fognet's IT architecture methodology emphasizes IT alignment. Fognet always tailors it's consulting to the client's specific level of organizational maturity, and offers assessments to quality and qualify IT maturity.
IT Maturity Levels Chart
Fognet's analysis methodology draws heavily on the work of Edward R. Tufte, who as a coded a design process for data analysis that Fognet often adopts to analyze IT Gaps in People, Process, and technology. This design process involves:
- Characterizing the source and nature of the data
- Enforcing consistent and appropriate comparisons
- Demonstrating the mechnisms of cause and effect
- Expressing those mechanisms quantitatively
- Recognizing the multivariate aspects of the analyses
- Evaluating alternative interpretations and explainations
Fognet also delivers IT management methodologies based on ITIL, the british government's encoded set of best practices that is increasingly becoming accepted as an international standard for building IT processes. Fognet is a provider of ITIL Foundations V3 training course delivery.
